I do need to see what I can do to bring those down. Right now it's 100% influenced by exiting salaries - you don't have to pay them what they ask for (unless they're currently under contract).

Is there a way to edit forum subject lines? For example salaries? :) or can I delete a thread? I've wondered that before in the trade section too.

$4.5 - $5.5 million for a backfield coach in MFN2 right now.

For the end of season, your coaches will sign an extension as long as they continue to make the same amount they currently make; so you don't have to offer what they ask.

To hire an unemployed coach, you can offer him the minimum right now and he'll take it (unless someone else offers him more).

I haven't had the chance to see what I can do to bring this down, my thought though is that it is the AI owners responding too heavily to the market and it's getting the assistant coach offers out of whack.

Just to let you guys know, I have added code to the AI coach salary offer that should get these salaries back down to a better distribution - although it will take several seasons for it to actually have a noticeable effect. The code has been pushed to MFN-1 and will propagate into the other leagues with the next release, which I am hoping will be before the fall.
