Hmmm... my Cust09 team is in the middle of draft.
For 3 days now I've been making 3mil, 4mil, 5mil offers to Offensive Coor,
Head and QB coaches to fill my void at those positions.

What are the game timing dynamics that effect that happening? It's becoming annoying. They aren't rejecting my offers, I just see in 'pending contract offers' (coaches) that they are still there each day. So are 8 players that are under 50, that I'm wanting to cut.

Aren't those players that I want to cut going to affect my money totals? I'd like to have the money to offer for coach contracts is my issue right now. When I put the head coach offer to 6mil it complained I didn't have the funds to cover the offer, so I changed it to 5 and it let it go through ok, so I'm alright right now on that.

Hmmm.

The draft is a different animal altogether ... think of it as one big sim over 4 days. You can make offers to coaches .. free agents .. player cuts .. contract extensions ..etc.

All that waits until the draft is over. I believe it all updates after the Late free Agency 1 sims .. I will let others speak to that.

Regarding your offers, you can verify that they are all waiting to be offered on your "My Team" tab. there should be a drop down box and one link will be "Pending Contracts". This should show everything.

So you may want to rethink your offers if you are increasing them .. you may very well be bidding against yourself.

CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH (sorry for the caps) ... you have 2 salary caps you are working with. 1 is for the players and 1 is for coaches.

thanks for the info.. yeah, I remember reading about that now that you mention the contract groups being separate. I see now how it can affect my choices. I'll go re-read the section on coaches. So if I were not in draft then this offer would have happened overnight? (I'm pacific coast timezone).

any other stage ... yes. I think the only things you cant do is sign other teams coaches (early free agency only?) and first year contracts ..
