Keeping your team from kicking a FG with 1 minute left in game

Here is the situation. 1:08 left in the game. down by 8. 4th and goal on my opponent's 4. My team kicks a field goal instead of going for the TD.

Can any one tell me how I can make my team go for it instead of kicking the field goal?

ok how you do that is you have to go to GAMEPLANNING then go to MISC in gameplanning then go down to where it says Hurry Up - Min remaining per score which i think you have to have it at 10 for your team to go for it.


Unless you can make a RULE for the situation so your team will go for it instead of kicking said Field Goal

You can correct that by putting in a rule for 4th down...short, medium, long (whichever you choose). You can also choose the play you want (pass,run). Also, you can set that rule for 4th quarter and put in the time and deficit you wish to go for it, instead of kicking a FG. For example, if you want to go for it on 4th down, and are down 8. The rule could be applied to the last 4 minutes (or any time) you want.

It has happened to me before and is very frustrating, but that's what I like about the game. Whenever a situation like this comes up, that's when you think about not letting it happen again and make a change.

Mine is at 8. At 10, they were starting hurry up in the 1st half in the past.

Like previously said, make a rule to go for it in that situation.

Unfortunately you can't make a rule to kick a FG if you're down by 9 on 4th and 12 from the 15 (for example). You need two scores regardless, but the Ai will most likely make you go for it.

The Rules part of this game seems to be the hardest for me to grasp technically. I get what they are and why you would use them....I just find some of the settings confusing.

Specifically the "Conditions" settings....on one hand it seems obvious, maybe I'm just making it harder than it has to be.

But, I want to run Defense A every time (All Game) offensive personnel grouping B is on the field.

I see there is a setting for "All Game" under the "Quarter" setting, however that is followed by the "Time" and "Score" settings. What would I set these at if I wanted to run Defense A against Personnel Grouping B regardless of score, down, time etc.?

Any and all help is appreciated, thanks.
