Have you ever kept an eye on a key player you deactivated for a game due to injury....but seeing little/slow improvement to his health ?

I would love to see a "Physio/Medics" type added to the coaching staff. Perhaps with an add-on report for each game as to how much a player recovered/suffered from his injuries. The higher the rating of the this type coach(s) would greatly increase recovery time (age depending).

Just a floating thought.

In which case, I'd like to see a couple more added to the list:

Scout - give him/her some rough parameters for players you're after and they'll alert you to opportunities. That could be free agents, upcoming draftees, or veterans whose contracts are running short.

Front Office Manager - increases the level of attendance to home games and/or the affect the home crowd has on games.

Conditioning Coach - decreases the likelihood of receiving injuries, improves the performance of players who are coming into games "cold".

Not sure if the game engine can work that Scouting concept.

I love the idea of a Conditioning Coach! I’ve also wondered if there should be a Special Teams coach!

Update: I should probably elaborate a little more. My thought is that the Special Teams coach should help in coaching for the return games. This might require some more abilities than just Kick Catching to be part of his coaching. Perhaps Break Tackle, Ball Carrying and Discipline? If all these abilities are part of the Special Teams coach’s responsibilities, then it may be worth bumping him up to be made Special Teams Coordinator.

We were actually testing part of this idea out in the MFN1 beta league a while ago. It was for the draft only though. Maybe it could work in other ways as well.

Nice! I'm all for adding more layers to the game. We've been plateaued with an awesome infrastructure for awhile now. I could see adding another dimension like the ideas pitched in this thread.

Whatever is easiest to slide in without disrupting the current sim engine.
