Re: Ai runs on 4th down in a losing game in the final minute

I get that it's my fault that I didn't bother to set 4 down situations. But, again, the problem here is the documentation. Here's what it says:

"In the 4th quarter, switch to the hurry up offense if you are down. A value of 3 will start hurry up at 3 minutes if down by 7. Hurry-up will call only pass plays and will always onside kick."

There is no caveat there. It says it will call ONLY pass plays. So I shouldn't need to set a game plan in this situation regardless. Ridiculous that the developer is blaming me for his bad game documentation. I can stand when you don't test your code. But you can at least proofread.

l guess I'll spend the time to go through my game plans now and set my 4th down plays. Grumble.

Probably. I may or may not have said that a certain government regulatory body that will remain nameless could go eff themselves at work today as well.

well at least you can say you learned your lesson where you will have to make a rule for it so it doesnt happen again.

btw i had to make 2 rules for 4th down
1 is for 4th down and 5 yards and less it is for the whole game
other 1 is for 4th down and long but this one ONLY for late in the game.

Only reason i did those 2 is if i learned 1 thing on this site is that really you have to make rules instead of trusting the computer to do it.

**RANT**
btw awhile i am it i think we should be able to make RULES for the draft and for signing players/cutting players and signing coaches/firing coaches because really the computer shouldnt be trusted to make decisions for us either be the draft , signing players or coaches or even cutting or firing coaches
**RANT OVER**

Finally your on board punisher. Although i did watch last quarter of your game and with around six minutes left you were backed up at your own six yard line. Up four and 4th and three you went for it with run up the middle and got stuffed. Next play touchdown, down three and the way it would end. Divisional game.

I thought fourth quarter rules were mandatory, I have around 12 offense and defense each just for the fourth quarter. Up with a passing team and don't eat up any clock with two minutes throwing incompletions and they get the ball back with 1:53. Or your down with a running team and eat up your own clock.

I actually made all my fourth quarter rules after a game with you and Bryson in lg 19 when he first joined. You took advantage of his defense by knowing he was gonna be in a base defense when he should of been in prevent. At the time i bitched about it but mainly protecting Bryson cause I just got him to join . After that situation I made all my fourth quarter rules. Based on your post to him explaining why you beat him .

I pulled all of my 4Q rules in order to simplify my gameplanning and see if I could get the game to work correctly as described. I'm about to put them back in because of things like this.

The only way to complete the gameplan is changing it according to situation. You could be ground and pound all game but if your down 14 going into the 4 th quarter I would think the gameplan changes completely.

Little rules like down by four with under three minutes you would most likely go for it on 4 th rather then kick the fg all the way to the goal line. But if down by three might only go for it up to your opponents 35. that one can be a killer because if you have it on there side AI will punt anytime your within six points.

In all the games I have watched between other teams a lot of them are decided by clock management. I have seen teams pass up by 7 under two minutes and there opponent has one timeout. I have also seen in the same game the team get the ball back and then run on first and 2nd down with no timeouts.

Shitty part is the confusing ways of adding rules. If you could make a set of six rules group them into a folder and organize it properly then it would change the way people look at rules. I have been doing em since I started and still get a headache trying to filter thru em and change em game to game.

I end up doing half *** gameplans for most my regular season games. Most I don't even change much because I have base set of rules that can be effective no matter the offense I face. But then can be shredded at the same time. I counted my rules for lg 14 and have 52, a lot of them are pointless but I make sure my whole defensive gameplan is off rules and not AI
