QB Issue

While this one seems so outlandish that my first thought would almost be that there must have been an accidental and unnoticed plopping of the linemen into the QB depth chart, it may merit some follow-up, because if not it's a serious issue. Or at least, it would be if it didn't highlight a second issue I see with the current game engine, which is that passing is broken. This offensive tackle, with no experience or relevant skills, threw for 104.84 QB rating. Under no circumstances should that ever happen.

I and others have noticed for awhile that DBs seem to make zero difference. I have a team (L8) that has 3 of the TOP FOUR rated CBs in the entire league. When only one other team in the entire league can boast a CB with a higher rating than your nickel you should be dominating against the air, especially when both safeties are in the top 10 at their respective positions, and your starting d-line and LBs range from the 80s on up. Yet performance wise, the team is pretty middle of the pack, frequently getting picked apart by 50-rated QBs throwing to 50-rated WRs.

It all feels a bit too random, with star QBs and star DBs seeming to have an uncomfortably small impact on outcomes. With WRs and other pass catchers, I think possibly the big difference between high and low rated ones is speed, and whether or not they can get run down in a timely fashion once they bust that first tackle (or three).

Regardless of whether my view on that is accurate or not, it certainly can't be argued that a system in which a player with a max potential of 11 (literally the lowest on the entire team's roster) absolutely torches another team is broken.

That should only happen if the QBs are not in the depth chart and even then the AI should have played the QB if they were active ... the QB is one of a few positions (K & P too) that the AI absolutely will not take out unless he gets injured ... has anyone else seen anything like this in a game?

How about some kind of pop up that happens if the player is put in a position accidentally thats not his actual position. I know I have done it by accident before. I dropped a WR in a kicker slot when removing him from kick returns. I know it might create extra clicking but I would rather be warned that he is out of position then having the error effect a game

I agree that there is no such thing also as a shut down CB or pass D

I have a ticket in to work on the DL play, I added one for CB play. Right now the CB's biggest strengths are if he has good man-to-man vs. the WR's route running, he should be able to blanket him pretty well. If he has high punish receiver and the WR has low courage and he's blanketing him, it should reduce the catch rate. But I've made a note to do a little study and see if this is what is actually happening, or what effects need tweaking.

This game is very much a passing league and would love to have the 34 pass D, I know I have asked for this before, any news on when this could be rolled out?

I have seen a team owned by Gustoon that had P's in every position.

Oh wait, he did that on purpose.
