player weightings for Oline

What do you guys have your Spd set at for the Tackles?

Also - I can't seem to work out how the OVR rating is calculated.

If my weightings for a position are 40 spd, 60, acc, 70 str for examples, I have tried multiplying the spd by 40 or 0.4 etc but still can't get it to the OVR. Any ideas?

Basically, each skill is a percentage of a possible 100, times your weight setting.

Plus some other things we have no control over, such as weight, etc.

Thanks - That's what I did. 50 (weighting) x 65 (speed) + 60 (weighting) x 70 (strength) etc...
Couldn't see how that then linked to 70/70 OVR

Here's a simplified example of how I do it.

We'll just use 3 attributes here: speed, pass rush and tackle.
Players ratings are:
SPD: 75
Pass Rush: 100
Tackle: 60

The weights are:
SPD: 100
Pass Rush: 50
Tackle: 50

The "scores" for each attribute are:
SPD: 75 (rating) x 100 (weight) = 7500 (score) out of a possible 10000
Pass Rush: 100 x 50 = 5000 out of a possible 5000
Tackle: 60 x 50 = 3000 out of a possible 5000

This gives the player a total of 15,500 out of a total 20,000 (77.5%), so I would round up and show this player rated at 78.

Obviously this is better when done with all attributes, but you see where I'm going with it.

What I'm ultimately doing here is comparing the player to a "perfect" player, while assigning more importance to certain attributes.

Thanks - I've used that thread many times. Just wondered if anyone other than seth had an opinion on what speed they weight a tackle.

I have seen almost any combo of ratings work on the oline What goes in to sack is not solely dependent on any one rating except pass blocking and maybe strength . I like them near or above 75. What really takes on sacks is the qbs aND his teammates ability to handle a blitz driven defense . If the D has high ratings your in trouble, especially if the plays you scouted or chose are not effective vs the blitz .

Oline speed has to more important in players getting to the second level on a run block. All that being said mine is at 28 for LT and 18 for RT. My oline man with the highest speed is RG, and that is to pull left in order to be effective on counters . More is better but I like speed to be a 1 to 3 ratio of strenght and technique with acceleration in the middle . This information is based off mfn 1 , last season .

Thanks :)
LT seem big contract players in real world although I guess qbs are top dogs. This has been discussed before I guess comparing nfl-mfn
