Excuses. I build teams. I stay in leagues for the long term. Once they start winning, they keep winning.

I don't abandon leagues if my team does worse this season than last season. I don't trash leagues by word or action. I don't think I have a right to disrespect other owners for playing differently or a right to mandate how they play. JDB mandates that, and he's doing a great job fixing some of the real issues while under constant pressure to further limit the game. If I had to put up with such a toxic core group in my community, I'd be less motivated than he is.

Full disclosure: Of the fourteen leagues I'm in, there are currently three leagues where I use stunts and exploits that will help my teams win games. It's not about the winning there, it's about finding and publicizing those issues.

I don't consider the WR as CB an exploit. There is no reason the stats of those two positions should be so divergent. IRL, many players switch between those positions right through college, and choose to specialize in one if they reach the NFL level. I learned to use those players that way from watching one of the "these particular plays win, so that is how I play, so don't do anything different, and shut up while I win" crusaders. If you feel a need to be the play style police, police your own.

I've wondered that too. I haven't gone looking for actual plays to view yet. I'm only looking at raw data.

dont think this is a toxic core group in this community if anything it is toxic issues in this community.

what i mean by toxic issues is it seems people have to complain about something for like days , weeks , months , etc.

like the 4.5 version is hot garbage for example

it would be nice if people just got it all out their system where we put aside 1 day where you can have at it and then once that day is over we as community will move on from it.

Check the ANARCHY and USFL forums. I'd tell you to read the posts that helped kill C35, but they're gone ... along with the league. It wasn't apathy. Apathy wasn't what you and Artelle/Chombatta were doing, not playing but each keeping one team out of AI ****, and keeping the league going. Apathy is NOT leaving a message trashing the league then hitting the abandon team button. Apathy is the people that wouldn't spend five free credits.

Before any claims that is what I did in ANARCHY, I specifically did not trash the league before I left. It's a great league. I invited some of the top names in this game to join at the beginning of this last season. If you want real competition, join ANARCHY. Most of the owners are not just winners, but gentlemen. I know of several that "retired" from the game, but kept just one team, in ANARCHY. Just don't be surprised if a couple of bad apples have no respect for the work you put in there.

I only mentioned you as one of the top names in the game that I invited to ANARCHY, knowing you can beat me ... the "your welcome" was for Crazy and Infinity. You've always been a a winner and a gentleman.

You've got a point. You've built a well-earned reputation on picking the right plays and running them over and over. Anyone who experiments outside that formula or plays differently than that is a cheater.



That allocation wasn't the best, but 90% of the guys I drafted are playing somewhere right now. I questioned some of the moves you made when you picked them up, but figured you were going a different direction ......

I didn't leave cause of a bad allocation . .....it was because I was told I have to have a K and punter play for the regular season . That wasn't our plan right away and threw a wrench into our cuts after preseason .

Then I thought what else that would be called an exploit / miss use of the code and thought my stlye of play would clash with league administration . So I left, in order to avoid any additional drama involving exploitable game play.

But I would never leave because of a draft or team skill. It's fun to break the code with crappy players too

No worries, I have plenty of winning teams. I am going a different direction from where you were. It's had my worst record since I took it. That will change, just not because of calling the same plays all the time. It won't be fast, competition for the good players is fierce.

For those who like math:

I've called the top 10 plays 287 times ... in nine games. That means my most used plays, on average, are called 3 times per game.
