2020 Election

Watched the democratic debate a couple days ago, buttigieg took a beating, klobuchar really took advantage of a lot of speaking time, and andrew yang barely talked as always, being an asian-american, would really like to see him be able to talk more and garner more support.

*joe biden fades into backgroud

me,i'm still undecieded, thinking about mayor pete or yang

but what were your guys's thoughts? Who's your early favorite? Drop your thoughts down below (just be civil and respectful of other's thoughts, i don't want to make this a messy, uncivilized slander of certain people (looking at you, senator warren).

peace

I despise both parties, and the route that the DNC has taken in the last two election cycles is baffling to me. I don't understand why they continue to push party elders like Clinton, Biden, and Warren when they have people in the wings that resonate more with most Americans and aren't completely out of touch with the people.

Buttigieg is just a more politically intelligent version of Beto O'Rourke, in my opinion, and isn't going to do anything. Yang is interesting to me, simply because I believe that his newer ideas do come from a sincere desire to better the prospects of most Americans, but I know, definitively, that he will never make a real national impact in today's political climate.

Of all of the Democrat candidates, Tulsi Gabbard is the only one, in my opinion, who has a prayer against Trump. She's moderate on most issues, and on the issues that she leans more progressive (climate change, gun rights), she's not losing any votes because the people who vote conservatively on those issues will never vote D. I cannot, for the life of me, understand why she's getting smeared the way she is by the media and DNC, and my only real guess is that the progressive caucus cannot afford to have her move the party back toward the middle.

My opinion on the election is that if the DNC runs Warren, Biden, or Sanders we're getting four more years of Trump.

agreed, i really don't like sanders or warren, i'm more of a moderate, so biden and buttigieg intrigue me. Biden will not get anything done in office, but i can see buttigieg doing something at least. He was on wall street so i think he could keep the economy good like it is now. Gabbard is switching to independent i'm pretty sure. But it's a messy election with very few good options

You say moderate, I say far right.

It's a matter of perspective. :-)

All American politics is a far right nightmare to me.

Sanders would be somewhere between middle of the road and right wing here. :)

Yep.

Every year since 2001, we've moved further right. We're almost where Americans can call us left, without the extreme part. xD

I'm maybe wrong, but every elections look like democrats vs republicans like there is only 2 parties in USA, there is not an other party strong enough that can bring you something different than this ?

Also, from my point of view it looks like both parties are almost the same, are peoples satisfied by them or no ?

Is there a lot of peoples that don't go vote because they are not satisfied by the candidates ?

none of the "third" parties have the same support as the dems or the republicians. almost no senator or us reps are from third parties. and yes, a lot of people don't vote because the candidates in the election are not good or uninspiring. obama, for example, got groups of people that usually didn't vote to vote
