lowest (best) 40 yd dash time for DBs at the 2016 NFL combine: 4.24 seconds
highest 40 yd dash for DBs at the 2016 NFL combine: 4.79 seconds

So for the sake of this discussion, would:

4.79 second 40 yd dash time be SP=0?
4.24 second 40 yd dash time be SP=100?

Not necessarily, because it doesn't take into consideration acceleration. For example, the DB who had the highest 40 yd dash time (4.79) theoretically might be running at a higher rate of speed when he crossed the 40 yd dash finish line than the runner who had the lowest 40 yd dash time (i.e., accelerated to his highest rate of speed more quickly).

It might be helpful and more fun if JDavid would give us some information to correlate the players' attributes to real world tests, e.g., 40 yd dash (SP + ACC, and taking into consideration size), bench press (strength??), and whatever combine results (if any) affect run blocking and pass blocking attributes. Are other attributes, e.g., breaking tackles, assigned at random or is there (or could there be) some correlation with other measurable real world factors?

But a game everything can't not be like real world.

But I would like to have more information. Some say that everything is clear and is because my english is not good if I don't understand. But it look I am lot the only.

More fun would be combine scores. I am making a combine conversion of ratings. Some problems are not everyone IRL is tested for scores. You can't opt. out of a drill here. The numbers are there for everyone. Also, here players speed changes based on the skill being used in tandem with speed.

IDK how JDB does it but I would cross density of player with most ratings . Then using a range of the lowest to the the highest, let us say 40 yard dash, 4 to 8 seconds but most will score 4.5 to 5.5 though and an average of 4.8. Using bell curve of distribution for players based on density, JDB, might use mass, one could easily create virtual scores based on weight.

That is the defining category. He is a 100 of some one that size. Period. It could be a 50 of a lighter wieght that is faster cause he's lighter. Either way, but the scale is virtual. Or made up. Personally I would bust out a stop watch. Old school like the nfl.

It will be an interesting exercise. How will fatigue influence the numbers? A straight linear progression? Or a compounded progression? Does fatigue influence both acceleration and speed equally, or one more than the other? Does fatigue influence "bigger" players more drastically or more quickly, or both? Does knowledge of a play affect speed or acceleration, e.g., slower to act or react to what you see or do?

You gotta love this game!
