I was just looking at Brynos awesome team page and think about what I am going to do to personalize the Wolverines. (I won't be doing THAT!... no skill)

Then I thought about renaming my players to correspond to the Michigan All time team. Brady. Law. Woodson. Howard etc... thats kinda fun.

BUT.....

It occurred to me, what if I named my players to correspond to the projected 2017 Michigan roster projections.

What if everyone did????

We would essentially have a live action guide to the ACTUAL upcoming college football season (which is about to start). Now of course, our good guys and the real good guys won't actually gibe completely and it would only be our 32 teams BUT...

The actual season is way more fun (in any sport) if you sorta know the names of the guys you are watching or seeing in highlights. I KNOW that this has been the case in past years when I was playing Madden, NHL etc. Real names gives an excellent perspective on real life.

This is a 'beyond eleventh hour' suggestion, and would require 'buy-in' from most guys, but I for one would love it.

What do you guys think?

Unfortunately there is a bug that you can't rename anyone except rookies now that the draft is over. I messaged jdb about it and he said he is going to fix it but it's way down on the list so it may take a couple weeks. I renamed my whole team in real time but when I went to do the last couple picks after draft I lost the option. I would of loved your ide though :)

Yeah I started doing these and ran into "name is not a valid name" problems... (Tre is not valid.)...also numbers aren't available for college... like for example single digit numbers for LB's.

Probably easy fixes if JDB was feeling generous. lol
It would be neat to get as close to the real thing as possible.

i suggest posting it in suggestion forum. The more people asking the more likely he will do it quicker i've found :)

I'm going to stick with the default names, I don't want to see my favorite Canes get hurt or move on :)

I'm going to stick with the original player names, simply because I don't have the patience... Heh.
