Huge news out of Annapolis that officials in Austin are set to make a monster offer to Navy's Athletic Director Michael Hines. The position is opening up after the team is moving on from the previous regime. Hines is a Texas native and would make sense but coming off a National Title and the program's first Independent championship it will take an offer that's too good to pass up. #2 Navy is taking on Notre Dame tonight in the Fiesta Bowl. The Longhorns have also targeted UCLA's Jeff Otter as a potential candidate as well but it's not known if the Southern Cal A.D. has interest in the move.

All-Time passing legend Jonathan Demartini has entered the transfer portal for his final year of eligibility. Leaving the Vol's with two Championships and many individual accolades, Demartini has his options open with a few attractive teams in his sights. While he's not in his prime anymore he is coming off a season that saw him garner 1st Team All-American honors and is the favorite to land his third Heisman Trophy.

Rumor has it that legendary QB Jonathan Demartini is scheduled to fly to Florida and sign his letter of intent with the Gators unless he gets a last minute offer that gives him a better chance at a coveted third national title. The Gators know him very well having played him twice a year for the last decade. The Gators have their QB in waiting Tyree Jackson but coaches have voiced concerns over his readiness to take the starting job so early in his career.
