I will be covering first-round picks and other performances of note.

Tennessee Volunteers

Super-high pick SS Terrence Lewis didn't boom, but he looks very solid, which is good, because the Volunteers will be needing him very badly. Felix Lakes looks like a very promising QBOTF. Other than that, the camp looks lackluster.

South Carolina Gamecocks

First-round pick FS John Warren boomed, and now looks like a star. Second-round pick RG Matthew Weaver laid an egg, but everybody else looks pretty good. I'll have what he's having!

Florida Gators

First-round LG Cameron Moore busted, but still looks pretty good, just not a star. Second-round C Ted Gully busted too, and is now not a good enough blocker. All around, a lousy camp.

Georgia Bulldogs

First-round DT Glenn Ford (nice name change!) busted, but still is very important. Sixth-round WLB Don Knots boomed, and now looks almost as good as second-round SLB Robert Mitchum. Can he make enough progress to be useful? Mitchum still has a good upside, but speed is a big problem. Maybe MLB would be the way to go.

Alabama Crimson Tide

First-round RDE Bradley Berrios busted, and now looks painfully ordinary. He's still stout against the run, but he's not the dangerous pass rusher he might have been. They backed him up with a boomer, though, in LDE David Jones, who looks like he'll be a star, so it won't hurt as much as it might have. In the seventh round, they also got the punter they so badly needed.
The rest of the camp looks pretty sad, so it was a good thing they were smart about the risks they took.

LSU Tigers

First-round CB Joe Goodall busted. He was never fast enough, and now he is not an elite cover guy either. I don't know what they'll do with him. Third-round DB Elmo Ward boomed, however, so the first-round bust hurts a lot less. He'll never be an elite cover guy, but he's fast.
Second-round TE Brandon Cox boomed, and he looks like he'll be a big problem for everybody else. The Tigers will need to outscore most of their problems, so it's a good thing they'll be able to do that.

Auburn Tigers

First-round RG Brian Garten busted in the wrong way. He is now bad enough at pass blocking that you have to worry about him. Almost everyone else went backwards too. What an ugly camp.

Texas A&M Aggies

First-round LT Kermit Perez boomed, but not spectacularly. He won't be the stud run blocker you'd like over there. The rest of the line spots look very crowded, however, so he can't be moved over to the right, as someone else might like. Second-round MLB Robert Battle busted, and he's lousy at coverage anyway. The rest of the cap was up and down.

Oklahoma Sooners

First-round C John Evans, boomed, but only slightly. He still has the advantages and drawbacks we saw in him on draft day. We think he'll be terrific, mostly. Second-round FS Austin Stafford busted slightly, and third-round WR Randall Bucklin boomed slightly. All the others were somebody else's problems.

Oklahoma St. Cowboys

First-round WR Walter Sartain boomed slightly. Third-round CB Patrick Heiner boomed big-time and looks like a starter now. Second-round SS Billy Nessler about broke even. and fourth-round SS Danny Makela busted big-time. Much like their rivals across the state, they left their lower picks to someone else.

Kansas Jayhawks

First-round RDE Jorge Baird boomed big-time. He will be terrorizing opposing quarterbacks for several seasons to come. Second-round QB William Modlin broke even, and he looks solid. Third-round DT Ricky Grim boomed big-time as well. It looks like the Jayhawks' defense took a giant step forward.

Texas Longhorns

First-round RB Antony Jeffries boomed a little, but he didn't have very far to go. Some other early picks came very close to breaking even. A lot of the other ones, however, busted badly. It doesn't look good for the Longhorns, because the other teams in their division did much better than them.

Florida State Seminoles

First-round RG Colin Blackmon busted a little, but still looks dominant. The Seminoles will always struggle to make him count. Second-round MLB Barry Khan boomed and is looking very good, and third-round CB George Allen boomed and is looking competent. Maybe moving him to safety would a way to go, because his zone ability and tackle ability would help him more.

Syracuse Orange

First-round DT Damon Marquess busted slightly, but is still looking good. I have enjoyed the fruits of an inside pass rush, and I know how many problems it can create for other people. Also look out for the two punters they drafted. One of them will find his way to the waiver wire, and either would be well worth having.

Miami Hurricanes

First-round RB Roger Havens broke even. I still think he could have been left alone position-wise, but then he wouldn't be worth such a lofty pick. Second-round SS James Boyer boomed and is looking good, except he is too slow. Third-round DT Albert Bernard boomed and is looking good. The rest of camp went really well, so clearly EJRue knows something. If only he could have applied all that genius to the first-round pick.

Clemson Tigers

First-round FS Malcolm Butler busted. His speed was always suspect, and now his coverage numbers are ordinary too. Second-round SLB Tom Strickland boomed. His coverage numbers are still pedestrian, so he couldn't be moved to another position, but there's nothing wrong with his speed at all. The rest of camp was mediocre.

Navy Midshipmen

First-round DT Kenneth Jenkins busted, but only slightly. Run Defense and Tackle Ability still look very good. Strength is questionable, but it always was. Maybe he could be a special-teams ace if he doesn't work out on the line. Second- and third-round picks broke pretty much even, and there was a sixth-round pick which busted. Everything else was left to other players.

Army Black Knights

First-round FS James Johnson busted, but not disastrously so. His coverage ratings still look pretty good, and he's still fast and getting faster. He's just not going to be the superstar that he could have been. Second-round TE Austin Barnes busted as well, but he still looks pretty good. This team really got screwed cap-wise in the offseason, so their draft was limited. Also, however, they need to be smarter about entering long-term contracts they'll need to cut.

BYU Cougars

First-round CB Virgil Forrester boomed and now looks elite. Second-round LT Vicenzo Smith also boomed. He's not going to be the star that Forrester will be, but he will still help the Cougars more than you might think. Third-round project pick Roscoe Berrios was a big failure.
It looks like he'll have to be moved back to DT for a little bit, then get phased out. The rest of the camp was ordinary, but the first two picks look like bad news for everybody else.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

First-round TE Christopher Sheppard had no volatility at all. He will still be a future starter at a position of need. The rest of the camp was ordinary, but not special, which is a big improvement for the Irish.

Northwestern Wildcats

First-round WLB Thomas Novak busted, but only a little. He has moved to a position where he is at least viable, but I'm still skeptical about whether he can be a star or not. The rest of the draft was full of big busts, except for P Jared Edmondson, who came along just in time.

Ohio St. Buckeyes

First-round CB Eric Myers was a minor boom, and I'm sure some other teams would have liked to have him. Second-round DT Shawn Daugherty has boomed as well, and now he is a pass rush threat as well as a run stuffer. Third-round WR Thomas Parker was a big bust, which just goes to show this guy is not a miracle worker, but the first two picks should be plenty good enough.

Rutgers Scarlet Knights

First-round CB Paul Henderson needs to reach his final destination sooner rather than later, because he is simply not viable at CB. I'm all for making him faster, but there needs to be an endgame here. He survived training camp while only losing a little, but it is hard to tell because the current ratings don't count. When your big star was a sixth-round pick, it means the rest of camp was pretty sad.

Michigan Wolverines

First-round TE John Miller busted, perhaps predictably. Second-round C Jeremy Smith also busted, but everybody else turned out. Look for one of those punters on the waiver wire, and also the incumbent kicker.

rough camp for us, with only one positive boom, but I'm not too disappointed with my first three rounders. They will be key contributors in the long term future someday.

Given the state of your roster, I'd try to stay low VOL early in the draft and work on some big swings later on. If you're picking early you should still have some great, safe options that will upgrade your squad and if you can go 33% on the later picks, you'll catch up on the talent front in a few seasons.

Yeah, you're not wrong. I was just trying to hit the home run with half a bat, I guess. LOL

Washington Huskies

First-round WR Beno Bryant got moved from RB after he busted big-time. I guess I dodged a bullet there. Third-round RB Corey Dillon boomed, and now looks as good as Bryant might have. It seems they're set at RB after all. Second-round LG Ed Cunningham busted slightly, and now looks good but not awesome. Fifth-round WR Kasen Williams boomed and looks viable now, and sixth-round K Chuck Nelson boomed too. They're primed to win the division for years to come.

Oregon Ducks

First-round WR Scott Reed held his own. He's still not as fast as I'd like, but everything else looks good. Second-round LDE Thomas English busted, but only slightly. He still looks good, but the lack of progress is alarming. Maybe a new DL coach might help. Fourth-round MLB Benjamin Johnson boomed, and now looks viable. Everybody else is a ***.

Stanford Cardinal

First-round WLB Mark Fisher busted big-time, and now he's junk. I'm not happy to be right about that. Second-round MLB Daniel Potter busted big-time too. The only people who did any good were seventh-round RB Patrick Canada (but he's too slow) and UDFA RT Domingo Oliver (but he can't block). JCSwishMan33 can at least make sure I don't feel sorry for myself.

Washington St. Cougars

First-round CB Frank Trevino held his own, and he looks like he'll be a star after all. Second-round CB Esteban Stewart boomed. He's still too slow, but he can probably play with Trevino around. Third-round WR Martin Livingston busted big-time, and is now junk. If steelwolf could do anything other than grow cornerbacks, he could really be dangerous.

Arizona Wildcats

First-round MLB Keith Magruder busted. I still like him, but not quite as much. He's stuck in the middle now that B&R has taken such a big hit. Second-round RG David Williams boomed slightly. I like the strength, but pass blocking will always be a problem for him. Third-round LB Brent Becker was a big boom. Maybe he could have been taken earlier, but at least he was still around. Fifth-round QB Daniel McAbee boomed big-time, and he looks legit. What a steal!

UCLA Bruins

First-round CB Tyrone Ault held his own, and still looks like a future star. The coverage ratings are not what I'd like, but he'll be plenty fast. Second-round WR Morris Santos held his own as well. He'll be a competent #1, and a better than competent reserve. Third-round WR James McDermott held his own as well. I'm not as impressed with him, because it will be a constant struggle to get him the ball. Maybe he has a future as a punt blocker. UCLA has done well to avoid any big busts.

USC Trojans

First-round LDE Leroy Smith busted mildly, but not terribly. He can still terrorize a quarterback, but he won't be the force in the run game that he might have been. Second-round LG Richard Campbell busted big-time. He has already reached his potential, and it isn't good. The others were mediocre, but not terrible.

Utah Utes
They tried to get him some help, but I'm still skeptical that first-round WR (technically) Douglas Benn can be the dominant runner that the Utes need him to be. Maybe the Smirt Plan can help him, but that isn't enough by itself to get it done. Second-round DT Erik Frazier boomed and looks really good, fourth-round TE Don Jones boomed and will help them, fifth-round RB Johnathan Edward boomed and can be the third-down back, and even seventh-round DT Marcelo Fant boomed and will help them. The Utes made the most of their lofty draft position. Can all this talent start making a difference?

Edited: I wasn't done again, but I needed to do some chores.
