One of College Football's biggest playmakers, Iowa's Steve Gartman has flown under the radar in recent seasons as the Hawkeyes have balanced out a very explosive offense. Once recruited as the savior, Gartman has sacrificed some of his statistics for the betterment of the program. Despite seeing his production take a slight dip he has still been able to surpass 1,300 yards every season of his career. His unique gamebreaking abilities make him a perfect weapon on special teams where he is averaging 32 yards a kickoff return in his career. Gartman has also hit double digits in receiving touchdowns in every season but his true freshman year. With four endzone dances already in 2022 he is well on pace to keep the streak up. With a young exciting quarterback running the show in Frank White, Gartman has been a lockerroom leader and if Iowa is going to get back to their 2020 level he will have will have to play a large role. Iowa is currently 3-1 and one game back from Rutgers in a very competitive Big Ten Division.
