Coming off a season in which Ohio St. won the Big Ten and marched all the way to the Rose Bowl the Buckeyes still aren't getting the respect that their proud program envisions. A team that is draped in history and accomplishment, it's taken the staff a couple years to build up the Buckeyes into one of the more dominant programs in the land. Led by the 2017 top Highschool player in the nation SS Robert Thrasher, the defense is gaining steam and proving that the #9 group in the land are poised for another deep run. The offense has been subject to much of the criticism over the years but currently rank 14th and is getting much more consistency from quarterback Michael Osuna. Joining Thrasher on the defense is two emerging superstars DE Jeffery Mahmood and MLB Pepper Johnson. Ohio St. is looking forward to a rematch of last year's Rose Bowl when Notre Dame comes to Columbus in week 9. In the mean time they have their hands full in a division that is as competitive as any in the NCAA. Both Rutgers and Iowa are poised to take the throne and all three teams sit tied at 4-1.
