12th Yr Cuts

I thought we had this sorted, but on the League Rules Page it’s still unclear:

12th year: players are cut in EARLY FREE AGENCY PERIOD before season


So are they cut at the end of their 11th season, or in early free agency of their 12th year?
Same for players transitioning from year 12 to 13?
I thought the plan was for non-Bowl teams to dump their year 12 guys now, am I mistaken?

I believe the intention was to make 11th year guys available for the first FA period so they need to be cut (latest) by the end of season spin.

As far as 12th year guys go, since they're done with their college days and can't be picked up or play anymore, they need to be cut before game 1 of the next season. Cutting them after the start of the new season could help teams with tight cap situations.

Ya i don't mind if 12 year guys are carried into their 13th season and then cut. It doesn't really make a huge difference since they are ineligible anyways. The whole reason for cutting 11 year guys before season is so they will be available for all three weeks of transfer signing period.
