With the first day of national signings in the books, Safety Ronald Clark officially committed to Auburn University. Head Coach Larry Harvey admitted that Clark was not the first choice for a full scholarship but since Kicker Charlie Milan had been involved in an underage drinking incident along with a couple of possession charges, AD Tony Wegglymane decided to withdraw the offered scholarship.
"We really thought if we could bag Charlie, we would definitely have a turn around year, I mean we'd go 16-0 easy." Said Head Coach Harvey "It's a huge let down, but we'll try to manage and hopefully break even this season"
AD Widgymann, on the other hand, had a more enthusiastic take on the matter. "I was in the middle of cooking chili when I found out what had happened. I just spun the globe around it and wherever my finger landed on that's where I ended up on my 25th birthday so to speak. I took a bite of crunchy egg shells and calmly explained to Harvey what we need to do. He needs to chill out more often or them pigs ain't ever flying home."
When asked if Weglamann knew what he was talking about, he replied "Sometimes I wear toe socks, sometimes I wear no socks."
3 more days of national signings to go
...3 days. It's a real thing.
