With the 9th pick on day one of recruitment FSU decided to stay in-state and signed stand-out CB Dwayne Brown to a 4 year athletic scholarship .Dwayne brings phenomenal talent and skills to the Seminoles secondary and has been penciled in as the #1 CB on this year's team. In his senior year he had 12 interceptions including 4 pick 6 TDs. He is also known for his hard hitting and the ability to jar the ball loose from the receivers hands. Dwayne was the only player on the Warhawks team that only played 1 side of the ball. FSU coaches are expecting Dwayne to have an immediate impact once the pads are put on.

On day 2 of recruitment FSU stayed with thier defensive frame of mind and chose 4 star recruit DT Paul Landis from Hamburg High school in Erie county NY. Landis brings all the skills needed to make him a formidable player in the middle of the DL. Great tackling along with excellent run defense skills make him a player to be reckoned with. Landis is known to be a workaholic and a gym rat and was the captain of the defense his junior and senior years in Hamburg.
