Big news at Florida State today. DemonMaster has been hired as the new Dean of Football Operations. What this means for the Seminoles football team is anyones guess but rumor has it that the team will be constructed from the ground up. The Seminole scouts are reported to be scouring the country for the best football recruits

Word out of Tallahassee is that the Air Raid offense that has been implemented has led not only to a 6 game winning streak but has also boosted the morale of all the players on the team. Freshman QB Jim Kelly has struggled with his accuracy and TD/INT ratio and has told us that he is facing a serious learning curve. He then went on to say that with zero running plays being used it all comes down to his on-field decision making. There was speculation that by dumping the running game and going into a pure pass offense that the team would suffer however after speaking to the dean of football operations DemonMaster we were informed that the initial draft was based on a "Air Raid" style offense and it just took slightly longer then normal for the players to learn the nuances of the plays. He reiterated that the offense was the priority in the draft and defense was almost an afterthought. He also stated that while he is hoping FSU can make it to a bowl game this season his main focus is on the future and the devastation that he believes the Seminoles will dish out in the years to come.

After starting out a dismal 0-4 the Seminoles finished out the regular season going 10-2 and making a bowl game. Jim Kelly who only threw 6 Tds in the 1st 4 games ended up with 44 TDs and threw for over 6500 yards. His top 3 receivers all had 1000+ yard seasons. Seminole fans across the country were amazed at the high powered passing attack but were somewhat surprised to see the Seminoles pass on 3rd and short. The coaches and fans are hoping the success can continue in this week's bowl game

Dwayne Brown
Cornerback
Seminole High Warhawks

With the 9th pick on day one of recruitment FSU decided to stay in-state and signed stand-out CB Dwayne Brown to a 4 year athletic scholarship .Dwayne brings phenomenal talent and skills to the Seminoles secondary and has been penciled in as the #1 CB on this year's team. In his senior year he had 12 interceptions including 4 pick 6 TDs. He is also known for his hard hitting and the ability to jar the ball loose from the receivers hands. Dwayne was the only player on the Warhawks team that only played 1 side of the ball. FSU coaches are expecting Dwayne to have an immediate impact once the pads are put on.

Paul Landis
Defensive Tackle
Hamburg High Bulldogs

On day 2 of recruitment FSU stayed with thier defensive frame of mind and chose 4 star recruit DT Paul Landis from Hamburg High school in Erie county NY. Landis brings all the skills needed to make him a formidable player in the middle of the DL. Great tackling along with excellent run defense skills make him a player to be reckoned with. Landis is known to be a workaholic and a gym rat and was the captain of the defense his junior and senior years in Hamburg.

Most of the FSU fan base were disappointed at the dismal season our Seminoles had this year. However when we talked to the coaches we saw a twinkle in their eyes. Kelly was playing horribly and after week 12 was pulled to prevent any injury with the almost forgone conclusion that the noles would not win any more games this season. However after getting blasted by the media for not selecting Kelly's replacement in last years recruiting class the coaches are ecstatic about having the #1 pick in the next upcoming class. Rumor and speculation aside the Noles are already targeting a yet unnamed 5 star QB as their choice.

Play on both sides of the ball this past season was dismal to say the least with the last ranked offense and defense to boot. The GM has stated that he is under pressure to turn the team around or he may be forced to retire.

5 Star QB Robert Decker was involved in a fatal head on collision this past Monday in his hometown of Buffalo NY. FSU fans and coaches were stunned to hear of this news since Robert had been wooed and had signed his acceptance letter to play at FSU. FSU coaches are reeling and rethinking their draft strategy as there are no sure fire recruits remaining to fill Jim Kellys shoes after he graduates at the conclusion of next season. The consensus that has come out of the Noles front office is that FSU is going to target either Chris Best a CB from South Bend, Indiana or Juan McCord a CB from Mississippi and move them to FS.
