i feel pretty good about my draft so i'd say about a 3.5. I have a super young team that is an average of 2.4 years of experience including 30 freshman but i still think i will be able to coach them up. In a couple years i'll feel a lot better though. Training camp will still be a tear jerker in south bend as i watch a lot of promising young talent crash and burn :)

What do you expect with a party school like that though? I'm surprised they still have a football program considering how irrelevant it's been for years now.

Easy big fella, lol. We played Bama for the title a few years ago. Marshall? Are they even D-I?? :)

Well Jesus - will all that press from the national media don't ya think you could do better than "we had a good team once a few years ago"? When you look at 'results vs national TV air-time' Marshall has been far-and-away better producers than the Gold Boys in South Bend.

Now that the NCAA has adopted an allocation draft for future recruits coming out of high school the rest of the nation will see just how talented the coaches are here in Huntington!

Rece Davis: Alright guys, Lets have a look at one of the bigger games of the week, Notre Dame @ Marshall.
These two teams are tied at the top of the Independent Division, both sporting 3-0 records. Thoughts?

Lee Corso: Well I really like Notre Dame, I feel like with Wimbush guiding the offense and making smart plays against the blitz - I see them walking into Huntington and punching the Herd in the mouth! Give me the Leprechauns going away.

Kirk Herbstreit: I just don't see it Lee, with Ron Ferguson leading the nation in rushing yards and the rest of the pack in the Heisman Watch I'm not sure if the Golden Domers have the horses on defense that want to play in the muck with these maulers in Marshall. And Ronald Stewart lit up Stanford 2 weeks ago so if Notre Dame does crowd the box they're going to leave themselves vulnerable on the back for home run plays. After today you'll all know who really rules this division.

Desmond Howard: I think you're forgetting that the Irish are leading the NATION with 8 picks! They aren't afraid of Stewart, please! He's gonna end up on Love Island, and there will be NO Love there! This ones gonna be ugly. U-G-L-Y.

Rece: Lee and Des have Notre Dame, and Herb has the Herd - it's gonna be a barn-burner for sure!

Poor Ferguson is getting the rock so much he might need a wheel chair for the second half of the season. While i like the direction my team is headed i'm still not confident going into each game. I think this is a great beginning to a rivalry for seasons to come. Jiminy Rickets, it's going to be a Wimbush of a game!!!

When you have the best player, there no sense in using him as a decoy - you dare the other teams to stop you.

This'll be a good test for my boys - to be the man, you have to BEAT the man!

It's that time of year again, and just like the first time these two teams met, the top spot in the division is at stake.

Notre Dame holds a precarious 1-game lead over Marshall in the standings, but with Marshall's win over the Irish earlier this season, there is more than just the Independent Division crown riding on this game. Brandon Wimbush will look to prove that his flat performance was an abberation, as he's been on a tear in his last 3 games.

Alternatively, the Thundering Herd has gotten back on track after a mid-season 3-game losing streak. The offense has been doing just enough over the past 2 games, but the defense has been stellar - especially Bradley Abron who is allowing a miniscule 30% of the throws against him to be completed.

As the snow flies in South Bend, IN; we all look forward to another classic game between these two rivals.
