Syracuse is abuzz with the arrival of the greatest football player ever to come out of the high school ranks, Gardner "The Stache" Minshew II. After being unceremoniously released before Training Camp, the Orange stepped up big time and gave him a home. The gamble paid off huge, as Minshew boomed big time, and left camp with a staggering 100 accuracy and ready for the spotlight.
The rest of Syracuse's camp went pretty well. First round signee SS Taylor Rapp went +3 overall and should fill the hole left by surprise NFL hopeful Chew. Second and Third round DL signees Terrill Hanks and Clelin Ferrill both had good camps as well, staying even and rising 8 respectively. Fourth rounder Isiah Buggs decreased 7 and looks to hang around just due to his incredible m2m coverage ability. WR Tee Law, who was signed in the Fifth round by Syracuse, has already been given his walking papers. Sixth and Seventh round signees McCann and LJ Scott both had bust like camps but will most likely crack the final roster as depth and rotational players. Of the three walk-ons the Orange invited to camp, Kahale Warring showed enough while seeing his overall increase by 3 to secure the second TE slot, although that may have been more a function of having no other option available.
While this most likely belonged in the Training Camp thread, The Stache could not be contained and thought it was bad enough he had to share the same post as the rest of his Syracuse class, so we decided his own thread was a compromise he'd accept.
