1. Florida State DB Juan McCord
The Seminoles struggled last season they correct that with DB Juan McCord. Rumor has that this deal is already signed sealed and delivered.
2. Kansas QB Jacob Williams
Is Easton Stick the Man in Kansas? I do not think so it might be too soon to pick a Quarterback and Slick could wait and pick the best Cornerback or Linebacker here
3. Stanford RB Manuel McNeil
QB Uncle Rico needs weapons. Yes, the Cardinal already have Hunt at running back but signing McNeil and moving him to wide receiver will give Uncle Rico a new target.
4. Iowa DE Al Stiles
Iowa has several players nearing graduations on the Defensive line. They hit a home run last season by signing Bradley Hand they go for another home run here
5. Oregon LB Jason Crews
Oregon has only 3 linebackers on their roster so surly that spot up is likely a priority. The best-rated linebacker Peter Frye is on the board but his volatility of 64 might keep him from be signed here. Jason Crews is a near carbon copy with slightly less risk with a volatility of 46
6. Michigan LB Peter Frye
Michigan could address the defensive tackle position here but linebacker appears to be a bigger need. He is the top linebacker on the board and his volatility is high but it is not too high to scare the Wolverines away.
7. Arizona DL Lamont Martinez
Arizona needs to address its defense so linebacker could also be addressed here also. Ronald Wild is the best on the board but Lamont is lower risk and can either play the end position or move inside and play tackle.
8. Georgia WR Dale Denny
Brett Maverick is the current quarterback, I believe the Bulldogs will address this during the current signing period but not in the first round. An offensive weapon is needed here, currently, James Reed is the only tight end, James Sims is the top available Tight End but his Volatility is 86 too high of risk when you need this player to start day 1. Wide Receiver is the pick here. Why Dale? When the best wide is on the board, Dale Volatility is 6 and Span is 84.
9. Texas CB Doug Bockman
Former Navy Athletic Director Mhines has taken over and has set in motion of taking another team to the Championship Glory, but to do that he needs to fix this roster. And the first order of business fixes the defensive backfield. Adding Bockman with Adderley and Gillman is a step in the right direction.
10. Utah CB Chris Best
There are a few different directions that the Utes could go here. Replace RB Jamal Anderson the RB that they drafted a few seasons ago that hasn’t lived up to expectations, finding a replacement for 3 aging wide receivers or maybe adding the best offensive lineman on the board. Going with the corner here but would not be surprised if they go on the offensive side of the ball.
11. LSU CB Donald Burns
Herbert Grammer is in his last year, Donald Burns would be welcomed addition to take Herbert's place.
12. Army LB/DE Gary Bednar
Offensive Lineman Philip Wilson or a replacement for Wide Receiver Glenn Coates could select here. But Gary Bednar is the selection here he could play Defensive End or Linebacker whatever Army needs.
13. Washington WR Dean Holland
Why Dean? Well, tight end is probably needed more but high volatility at that position and after adding Quarterback David Baker adding another offensive weapon will help.
14. Texas A&M SS Benard Heimann
Texas A&M takes a big risk and adds Benard Heimann to the defensive backfield. His high volatility is a concern here but the backend of the defense is a concern and Benard is the best at this position
15. Clemson WR Jacob Hamilton
Clemson is in need of a tight end but again high volatility at that position is a concern. But seeing a tight end selected here would not be surprised. With three wide receivers set to graduate after this season Jacob will be a solid addition.
16. Kentucky LB/DB George Coury
Defensive End Ronald Wild could be the selection here but is Kentucky ready to commit to a high volatility player. Selecting George allows some flexibility keeping him as a cover linebacker or moving him to defensive back.
17. SYR DE/LB John Olsen
Another landing spot for DE Ronald Wild but Syracuse needs this player to play. So, adding John Olsen and moving him to the Defensive End spots get them a much-needed defensive lineman
18. Florida DE/DT Joseph Old
Florida has a lot of needs, seeing Offensive lineman Philip Wilson go here won’t surprise me. Neither seeing Ronald Wild going here. But going with Joseph Old the flexibility of playing him Defensive End or moving him to Defensive Tackle
19. UCLA LB Douglas Hunt
Stopping the run was an issue last season. Allen Norton was the only proven linebacker to do that for the Bruins. Linebacker is a dire need for the Bruins. But this is the Bruins and they will be tempted to select several high volatility players like Wild, and WR George Spann here.
20. Ohio State DE Ronald Wild
Defensive Lineman Jeffery Mahmood is in his final season. Ohio State could take a chance on Ronald if he hits, he is a solid addition to the team. If not, well they still have Jeffery for one season.
21. Washington State DT Michael McGrath
Big need for the division champs is a man to shore up the middle for the Cougars. There are three very capable players but McGrath comes with less volatility. If the Cougars are not too afraid to take a chance they could go with Peter Jackson or Blake Dvorak.
22. USC TE James Benz
The signing of Carl Barajas filled a need, so signing James Benz fills a need. Would not be surprised to see the Trojans sign highly rated WR George Spann
23. Alabama DT Blake Dvorak
The signing of Blake fills a big need, I would not be surprised if OL Peter Wilson, WR George Spann or Tight Ends Charles Mercado or James Sims goes here
24. Tennessee OG Peter Wilson
Tennessee may be in reload mode so they can go any direction, to be honest. So, why not go with the best lineman in the draft and for him to fall to you at pick 24 that would be the heist, not a steal.
25. Auburn OG Todd Heath
Tight Ends Charles Mercado or James Sims could easily go here. Auburn is in a position where they could take a risk and go after some mid to high volatility player. May consider a quarterback but passed and signed Todd Heath a solid Guard with a mid-level risk level.
26. Oklahoma RB/WR Mark Green
It was time for someone to take a chance on Mark Green. He could see time at WR and RB until it is time for him to be the man.
27. Norte Dame DT Peter Jackson
Honestly, if WR George Spann falls to Norte Dame here they are picking him. Athletic Director Michael77 is an offensive minded Athletic Director and if he is going to gamble on a player it will be on offense. So why Peter Jackson here? The Fighting Irish are going to lose 4 Defensive linemen after this season so this position should be a priority.
28. Rutgers LB Louis Caldwell
If Norte Dame takes George Spann then I could see Peter Jackson here. Louis Caldwell will be a solid two-down linebacker but comes with high volatility. If he has a good training camp, he could develop into every down linebacker.
29. BYU WR George Spann
High-Risk George Spann falls to the Cougars and they are jumping at the chance to sign him. Now they start calling everyone asking why they passed on George.
30. Miami RT Willie Hufford
Moving Willie to center which is a better position for him. With 3 OL set to graduate Willie will be ready to take over next season. The quarterback could be addressed here if Miami fears that the Quarterback, they want may not make it to them in the 2nd/3rd round.
31. Navy DB Florencio Thompson
Florencio lacks the wiliness to tackle drops him down but his coverage skills cannot be ignored and new Athletic Director Beercloud adds to an already solid defensive backfield
32. Oklahoma State DT Matthew Duncanson
Duncanson could be a force in the middle if he booms. If he busts if anyone could make it work Athletic Director Eyeball can do it.
