Sorry for not posting the past 2 week homecoming posts
So here is the Week 5 Homecoming
Oregon vs StanfordMy Projected Winner:
OregonOregon decided to make their 2024 homecoming game against a very similar foe who are also looking for their first win of the season. With both teams being winless, Oregon’s homecoming is gonna be more than just for their pride against a division rival but also for a hopeful jumpstart for the rest of their season.
I projected Oregon as the winner due to Jefferson Gunn carrying the team’s offense with a passing attack to Justin Shorter and a strong ground game by John Boswell.
Michigan vs USCMy conscious predicted pick: USC
Who I hope would win:
MichiganThe Big House is gonna be expecting an opponent that has been booming since day 1 of the signing week. Michigan started off strong from their first 4 games with their blemish on their record coming from an away game against Texas A&M. Still being undefeated at Home, there is a chance for Michigan to win against a very young and upcoming USC who is now being controlled the maestro of the entire league.
I projected Michigan to win their homecoming game because I have an extreme bias towards anything Michigan and in spite of USC.
On a serious note, I projected USC to win against Michigan due to gunslinger QB Mary Plank having the strongest passing game of his entire career; already breaking the 2000-yard mark going into the 5th week and his favorite target playing from the TE spot, Marcus Briggs already half way there from breaking 1000 yards; along with being the second best in both Offense and Defense in terms of yards from scrimmage.
LSU vs TexasMy projected winner:
Texas"Both teams enter this matchup with something to prove, after rebounding from early season stumbles. LSU is trying to make a statement to those who thought their time as a conference championship contender had passed with the sudden departure of RB Figueroa. They so far have proven their demise to be premature, as they have posted the number 1 offense in the country through 4 games, with a staggering 679 yards from scrimmage. Texas, on the other hand, is trying to prove they belong with the big boys after years spent toiling near the bottom of the league. They too have experienced an offensive revolution, which sees them ranked 3rd in the country with just over 640 yards from scrimmage. When these two high octane offenses meet, some of the NCAA scoring records may be shattered. The difference in this one may come down to their defenses, as Texas currently ranks 11th and LSU sits near the bottom at 30th. However, whenever LSU takes the field at "The Swamp" for homecoming, they play a little bit fiercer." - Supersloth
Although Texas have a weaker offense, they are the more well balanced team being highly showed against division rival and reigned king of the BIG 12 Oklahoma State. I am highly looking forward in that precision aerial attack by Texas QB Carroll McCartney
I’m gonna need some moltrin…
