Elite Conference Week 9 homecoming write-ups

Iowa vs Washington
my prediction pick: Iowa
although currently in last place in the BIG 10 division, Iowa is playing against Washington who just lost 2 straight games one being against a division rival. Iowa just played against Oregon for their 3rd win in the season and going into Kinnick Stadium being pumped up for a 4th win to have a game above Michigan if they lose to Ohio State.
Washington’s QB Roy Ackley hasn’t been the answer for a signal caller for the new era of the league. Washington also has a weakness against teams with teams that can defend the run with only Myles Gaskin being the only threat that Iowa has to look for offensively. This game is going to be a highly defensive game and Iowa is current having the 5th defense against Washington’s 8th defense.
Ohio State vs Michigan
my prediction pick: Michigan
Ohio State and Michigan has had a rivalry since the beginning of this league and Ohio State has chosen to have their homecoming game against their biggest rival. Although coming back home from a loss against Utah, Ohio State will be looking to vent their frustration against a team that is going on a downward spiral ever since benching QB Raymond Levine.
I want revenge for the real life version… that is my only explanation
Notre Dame vs USC
my prediction pick: USC
Ever since bryson10 left for southern california, Michael77 had to jump into the opportunity to keep Notre Dame’s head high and started off with a bang, despite having a blemish in Notre Dame’s record for being undefeated. USC has been known for being a jekyll and hyde team before Mr.Krazy handed the keys to bryson10. Notre Dame’s homecoming is extra special, not just because of the champion athletic director is playing against his former team, but also it is a game between the #1 and #2 in the league according to the power 12 commission.
Only one person knows the ins and outs of Notre Dame, and that one person has turned against them. Even though Michael77 has a different philosophy into the game planning, Bryson knows the weaknesses that only he would know against Notre Dame, is now gonna be exploited.
BYU vs Utah
my prediction pick: BYU
The Holy War has begun! BYU has chosen their instate rivals Utah for their homecoming game, and coming back from a great victory against a tough Tennessee team. Utah on the hand has also beaten a juggernaut team of Ohio State and are looking to salvage some sort of win steak to get back into.
BYU wins because DEUS VULT (Yes, I had to put that). Although Utah’s win against Ohio State is impressive, Utah’s defense won’t be able to handle BYU’s offense especially at home putting up a 40 and even a 50 score game. Utah has to be able to pull off another game that is very similar into having both sides of the ball being able to fire on all 4 cylinders to beat BYU.
The True Texas homecoming write-up
Texas vs Washington State
my prediction pick: Washington State
Dave’s REAL prediction pick: Washington State
Coming from competing against Kansas for 3rd place to competing with everyone else who is currently with 5 wins to stay afloat for a bowl game shot and/or winning the first time a team that doesn’t start with “OK” in it’s name win the BIG12 division title. Washington State has strung in a winning streak and won their last game against what Bryson10 calls a major team also looking for more big teams to be competitive.
Texas has a very high-powered offense but their defense is lacking and only win by scoring every time they are handed the ball. Washington State has been a team that wins by controlling the pace and keeping their best QB out of the field. The threat that Texas has to look out for is Rexford passing to a booming WR play to Cyril Burns on the air while trying to lockdown Lencho Wicks on the other side of the ball, They have to keep McCartney stay upright if they want to have a chance against a Washington State defense giving up a total of 28 sacks already within 9 games.
