The preview before the preview. Clemson didnt wow in the regular season. They were clearly one of the better teams, but their playoff victories over favorites Tennessee and Kentucky solidified the Tigers as a top team in 2019. The Tigers come into the Champioship boasting the 8th overall offense led by a balanced attack and a super star receiver is Charles Ford. Their defense 13th overall, was stout against the run but gave up some yardage through the air. This team is solid across the board and just finds a way to win.
Arizona had to knock off the undefeated Irish to get here. Some say they stole the Irish playbook the night before the game but we will never know. Arizona has the 4th overall offense in the FBS with a trio of RBs and an unhearlded WR Corp lead by Vogelsang and Rapp. The key to this AZ team has been their defense. 2nd rated with a very talented pass defense that has been solid all year at shutting down opposing QBs. They have struggled with the run only giving up 74yds a game but a 4.8 ypc. Both teams weren’t expected to be here but hopefully have showed the country that they are both worthy of the Championship. I do promise this....a feline will win!!!
