Hurricanes @ Orange (-8)
Hard to pick against the home team in this one. Syracuse and Miami have been evenly matched this year but I think the home field advantage will hold true. Miami did prove that they can win in this Bowl as they went to Knoxville and knocked off Tennessee 40-24 last year.


Volunteers (-1) @ Crimson Tide
Alabama hosted Tennessee in week 16 and I think we got a preview of what's to come. I think Bama has played really well this season and even in their losses have been very competitive, I just think Demartini and that offense is just too explosive. Demartini is hobbled by last weeks foot sprain but I think he'll be fit enough to get the Vols through.


Utes @ Buckeyes (-11)
This is one of the more interesting matchups in week one with the Big Ten Champs hosting the Utes. The Utes have feasted on the lower tier teams this season but seem to get caught up against the elite. While I wouldn't be surprised to see Utah sneak out with a road win, i just think the Buckeyes turn it up a notch when the lights get brightest.



Midshipmen (-4) @ Huskies
The oddsmakers aren't the only ones who like the Middies in the Liberty Bowl. I think Navy will win this game and put their two game losing streak in the rearview mirror. Washington will have to find a way to get Gaskin involved to have any chance in this one.

The big problem with "getting Gaskin involved"....

Doubtful with a leg injury.

I will have to rely on the other RB to get the job done and hope my defense comes to play.

Wow!!!! Bama shocks the world and Tennessee exits in the first round for the second year in a row. Syracuse handles their business, next up their nemesis. Washington, a dog at home, shuts the critics up!!! Ohio St. uses late game heroics to hand Utah it's third straight loss and a ticket back the Utah! What a great first round, congrats to all the bowl teams

Wow...

GG Navy. Early on, it was turnovers that gave me the edge, but then you managed a couple of your own and I thought you were going to take over. My defense did as well as I could have hoped.

Offensively, with Gaskin out with an injury, I put more weight onto QB Tiffany's back and he responded very well.

My reward is another matchup with the Irish.

Good game Ohio State. I honestly have never seen a luckier team in my life. We should've won that game. But we fumbled the ball away like 3 times when we were in scoring position. And our secondary seemed like they just stood around and watched you make all those completions.
