QB Jonathan Demartini gives Tennessee a huge debut. Even though it's a scrimmage his numbers were enough to impress Vols coaching staff. 14-18 452 yards 5TD 1 Int 135 rating.

WR William Brock made the Vols excited after camp with is production but never imagined he would open with 338 yards receiving on 6 catches and 4TD he also carried the ball 8 times for 75 yards and another TD total 415 yards 5 TD

This makes me sad :(

Lol gg blackflys u torched us through the air like I expected. My secondary cannot compete and that's a problem for a person like me who lives and dies by the secondary...

I like seeing the Vols do well. It's been rare the last few years. GBO!

Ya your corner was slow and it pretty much dictated how things went. I did see positive things about your team though. Good luck this season

Week1
W 37-6
Teagarden helped get it started on a 98 yard reception later he had a 50 yard run. Vols running game was shut down for the most part but that can't be said about their passing game. Demartini was money and made the most out of his 11 completions. Kentucky had a plenty of shots to get points but the Vols defense came up big led by DE A. Walker who had 5 sacks and his defense forced two turnovers inside their own 15. Wildcats will get a chance to even up the score at home in three weeks.

Demartini 11-19 390 4-1
Brock 3 rec 111 1 TD
Teagarden 2 rec 107 5 car 50 2 TD
Walker 7 tackles 5 sacks 10 hurries
Bennett 3 tackles 2 sacks 7 hurries
CB Wu 6-16 7 tackles 1 Int

Next game @ 0-1 FSU

The Vols relied on their offensive weapons and Teagarden and Shackelford did not disappoint. Shack had 3 TD and 163 yards while Teagarden had an impressive 178 yards on 23 carries and added 61 yards receiving.

--GMs thoughts on being #1 in coaches poll
Number one of what? Ask me this when the seasons over if it's still the same then I'll have a good answer.
--Thoughts on draft and the players roll so far?
It's always a question mark when bringing certain players who can play but need every bit of help fitting in and complimenting our style. I thought our recruit and scouting team did an exceptional job and brought in some real talent that can win now and that's ultimately what we are trying to do.

Week 3
@

Gators jumped out to a 10-0 lead but Demartini waisted no time at all by getting the Vols on the board and the rest was history. Teagarden got himself into the heisman discussion with 17 carries 277 yards.. He's now averaging 10 yards a carry and has over 500 rushing and around 200 receiving yards 4 TD. Shackelford did the same thing by getting his 2nd consecutive hat trick and 227 yards on only 4 catches. Demartini is rolling now with 13 TD which is tied with the leagues most.

Tennessee now will play one of their most important games of the year which will be their 2nd meeting vs Kentucky.
