ORANGE BOWL - Clemson 34 Tennessee 50The bubble burst for the Clemson Tigers in the Orange Bowl. The mighty Vols put up 50 points and was too much for Clemson to overcome.
The Tigers put up pretty good offensive numbers.
QB- Neil Obrien matched Vols
QB- Johnathon Demartini in yardage
411-442yds, but Demartini led in TD passes
5 to 3.
The difference in the Orange Bowl was the running game. Tennessee put up
191yds to Clemson's
91yds.
Season review - Although disappointed with not making the Championship Game, the Tigers had a great season...ACC champion, a thrilling OT win in the Sugar Bowl, and a decent showing in the National Semi-final game.
The Tigers will look to sure up the defense next year. Too many big plays by the opposition this year cost Clemson some games.
Offensively, Obrien will be entering his sophomore year and should be even better.
RB- Dennis Dunford will continue to be a threat, AND
WR's- Malley and Ford should continue to make big plays for the Tigers. The future looks bright for the Tigers!
Good luck to Tennessee and Notre Dame in the big game!
