Another lost recruiting class in Provo.. .the Mormon lifestyle isn't for everyone...

Round 1: LB Irving McHale BUST
Despite having elite bloodlines, Irving lacks some of the most fundamental elements of playing the position (tackling, blitz timing, shedding blocking in the run game). He will be brought along slowly and the hope is that with time he will grow into the position.

Round 2: WR Robert Willis BUST
Heralded as a possession receiver without overwhelming speed, Willis has been fighting the ball all camp and lacks any refinement in his route running. A smart kid, shifty off-the-line, he will try to carve out a niche for himself in the slot with it's 2-way-go options.

Round 3: FS Brett Goodson MINOR INCREASE
A cerebral player who won't scare the opposition from coming with thunderous shots in the passing game, but plays his position with aplomb. Exquisite positionally with acceptable range, Brett will find himself in the secondary rotation in the years to come.

Round 4: TE Andrew Hopkins MINOR INCREASE
Hopkins was already a willing blocker leaving high school in Bellarmine Prep, but he has flashed plus-level route running and veteran-level trickery at the top of his stem. He has the odd drop, but when he secures the football he can be a load to bring to the ground. A future chess-piece to be used in multiple ways for the Cougar offense going forward.

Round 5: OT Wilbert Canon BUST
Canon (not related to the former Rutgers flame-out), had all the looks of a player that could take his game to the next level with improved coaching, but he has had a number of problems staying motivated and focused on his craft. Adequate as a run blocker, but his technique in pass sets result in many plays more reminiscent of a turnstile than an offensive tackle at this level.

Round 6: LB James Levallie BUST
Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane. Few if any redeeming qualities on this flier late in the signing process.

Round 7: QB Brian Edelman MINOR INCREASE
You could do worse than a serviceable camp-arm this late in the signings --> Bryan has a howitzer of an arm and he gets it out of his hand in a flash, and has a knack for covering up when the rushers get home. He is prone to staring down his receivers, and all too often gets locked on his first read and fails to get to second and third progressions. Could push for a spot on the team this spring.

I think this is great and I am not trying to be a jerk, but I don't understand what the columns are referencing. In you evaluations I am sure in your world it is simple, but so am I, so I don't understand. The only one I understand is volatility. I don't know where the numbers are coming from in the others. Current/Max what? Less than Zero? what zero? Is it your rating, growth, averages?

I changed the column headings hoping it helps. My brain works a certain way and sometimes I do not understand it either. LOL :)

I noticed that % Increase really has no explanation. The % Increase deal with Max level increase so 57% means basically out of all the players within that range of volatility 57% of them increase above 0
