Washington Husky Recruiting Class:

I did express my concern to Bryson when I changed a few names, every name I have changed to actual Husky players have busted in camp...This year was not an exception. I changed names on my first three picks..

1. LT Trey Adams 10/-2, not horrible, but not enough to count on him starting. Better depth than I had though.
2. RT Landon McGarry 13/-4, A bigger drop than the #1 pick, but it seemed to be only run block. He still has 98 pass block (fully developed) so he looks to become the starter next season.
3. WR Paul Skansi 13/-3, again, not horrible, but there was room to grow in a lot of areas. He still has decent skills and will fit pretty well into the WR3 position opening day.
4. RB David Monson 9/7, a very good camp....the odd thing here is as a converted TE, he didn't seem to lose weight. Still sitting at 251 LB, can I count on more weight loss down the road? I would love his speed to get to 70 because with other attributes a pretty good. A solid backup RB.
5. WLB Richard Palmer 8/-2, this was a disappointment. He had a chance to earn a job, even from rd 5, and did nothing to give coaches confidence. His will be a tough call, only because we are thin at LB.
7. DT Adam McClung 10/3, a decent camp. At another position where we lack depth, he has a chance to stick. He will be decent against the run. A converted LB, we hope he adds more weight.

Hackett and savage very minor busts, Hartline boomed so it made up for that. 4th round DT **** the bed though lol and is waste of space this season. Only keepers are the first three rounders and a 6th TE who boomed and we'll make a decision on him. Kinda wished Hackett didn't go minus 3 since I really really need him with my vet corners dropping speed (other than Hackett my fastest CB is a 65 speed....). It's an ok camp :)

Well to say the Bruins had a disappointing Training camp is an understatement.

Day 1 Signee - CB John Curley +2/-22 Really need him not to be a big bust and so he was. He was a man among boys in the FCS in the NCAA he is a pre-schooler. Will try him at Returner if that doesn't work then he gets 4 years of free education never seeing the field.

Day 2 Signee - HB Alexander Rice +15/+7 The star camp, we have a starting HB.

Day 3 Signee - PK JJ Molson +9/+2 Boring signee but now the Bruins have a kicker they can count on once he develops.

Day 4 Signee - WR Demetric Felton +9/-4 Jury is still out on Felton probably will stay on but he is a backup.

Day 5 Signee - WR Chase Cota +0/-17 Left campus to pursue his dream of being an actor.

Day 6 Signee - QB/RB Christopher Rangel [QB +2/-7][HB +7/-8] hoping he might develop as a backup QB but didn't work out. Fall back was develop as a backup running didn't work out. Free to pursue other opportunities.

Day 7 Signee CB Dan Sweeney +5/0 - If Curley did this it would be considered a success but Sweeney needed to go up, not sure what to do here. Might keep him for the preseason practice sessions but he would have to show a lot to be kept abroad.

So this season signees brought UCLA two starters, 2 if kept backups, 2 players who are already pursuing other endeavors and 1 player getting a free education but will never see the field.

I am excited to see Rice it the HB that UCLA has always wanted and never really had, we cannot ask him to do any pass routes but that ok, we have the flats and Justin Hudson to do that.
