Time for an update:
New surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, and it's locked in this time (no backing out now).
May have to put my team on auto-pilot for a while, would be just my luck that the team would win a championship without my input!
Either way, fingers crossed.

It was an eventful 11days kn hospital, but I'm finally home.
Initial surgery went well, but there was an issue with 1 of the connections that eventually failed, and I had to get rushed into emergency surgery on Wed last week to fix the problem.
The recovery from the 2nd surgery is going much better, and I was able to come home on Sunday afternoon.
We briefly thought I might have had a world record for the size of my kidneys (32lbs total), but the actual record is around 80lbs (which is WILD).
Rehab is going to take 6-12 months but now, on the other side of surgery, I'm looking forward to the 2nd half of my life and getting active again!
