Good game OTaco / Auburn. The stats were almost identical, and you had us on the ropes early. You are much better than the record shows - next season will be battle for the division as all 4 teams are getting better.

Thx vcr
God bless the SEC, the best conference

ya i felt that 4.2 had some high powered offenses but if you gameplanned really good you could shut people down. 4.3 there's no stopping teams no matter how much you do and so far on 4.4 i don't see any explosion on offense at all

Only watched limited action on 4.4 but seems like defense is similar to 4.2, but on steroids.

i think we're all tired of this **** but the new code is pretty boring if you like any semblance of offense. I'm having a real hard time getting excited about going from one extreme to another. I wish we could go back to 4.2 :(

Just came here from watching my USFL/WFL game with eyeballl where we combined for 400 yards and 12 points. Thrilling.

Crazy has the right idea about just going to the new offense now, I've done that in every other league except this one and only bc I'm trying to make a good impression in year 1.

That's actually not a bad idea if you want to get your players familiarity with the new plays they'll be using next season. You'd have a head start. But watching the short pass gives me headaches especially in this current code..lol. I couldn't handle doing what CR is..lol

I did that with defense in 4.2 when we were switching to 4.3 here. I feel like it helped get my players to perform better in non blitz plays in this code but could just be confirmation bias

If you're willing to sacrifice a season to get play familiarity i guess, but i'm never in the mode of throwing in the towel when there's so much time left in season. I think play familiarity is overrated

Yeah I agree don't tank the year, I'd probably just experiment a bit. My D wasn't bad that year but it wasn't up to its usual top 2-3 status, more like top 10.

All depends on where you're at in the season - 9-1 is a far cry from 5-5 or worse.
No reason not to if you're not making a Bowl Game IMO.

Please don't misunderstand. I'm not giving up. I'm gameplanning as much as I always do & leaving my starters in. I just know this code doesn't favor short passes at all. I'm still tied for 1st in my division.

I just don't care at all for these Madden-like scores. I totally prefer the new code. I'm cool with waiting for next season to start the new code, too.

I'm not gonna make excuses. I'm making these changes in every league I'm in. I want you guys to know what I'm doing. That way there is no question about me tanking or not.

I have a goal. I don't intend on throwing in the towel. I just don't expect my team to be what they could be, if I exploited the TE passes & played the prolific passing attack. My QB is young & want him to be familiar with my style when it's time to throw down next season.
