Players out of Position

Is it acceptable in this league to use players out of position? I assumed it was not, but I don't see anything about it in the rules post.

If I am correct, there is only one player-use rule (the punt block rule).

Everything else is allowed? WR at RB1, CB at DE1, etc.?

Pretty disappointing this stuff is allowed in this league. Also disappointing some people need a rule to tell them not to do this.

All of this I agree with! I do not want to make more rules but using CBs as RBs is terrible. I have reached out to the one person I saw do it. They have not responded. If he does not respond soon I'll remove him. If you want to PM me know who you saw doing it, that would help. We have lost too many good players because of this type of thing. Thanks

To clarify - no usage of CBs @ RB is now a cemented rule?

If so, I'll adjust accordingly.

I've also seen a WR listed in depth chart as RB1.

Just want to make sure we're all on the same page here.

Smirt, it's more than the RBs. A 245lb mlb @ DT, another MLB @ DE, a 191lb CB at MLB, and countless CBs in various places in the depth chart. This is garbage. It might be the best way to win but it has nothing to do with football. A lot of people play this game as a solid football sim. If this is not something you are interested in then just leave. This league has lost too many good owners because of this. Figure out how to win the right way.

I think we’ve been using WR @ RB since back in the Bryson years… I know I have and many other owners. But I’m happy to use players in their designated position (ie RB1 = RB, so long as backups can be filling (SS as depth LBs, WR @ depth RBs) so I don’t end up with my backup center running the ball as RB3.

Conform the league to GM League Rules style or somewhere in the middle ground -next season-and I'll utilize FA, the Draft and my expertise to convert players to new positions for new usage. I can play and win to any rules.
