That's why I don't want a hard and fast rule. It's one thing to have a WR as the #4rb or DB as LB depth but not a CB as the starting MLB. It's not been a problem that I was aware of until these last 2 seasons.

Same, I currently have a converted RB/WR as RB2, and if that needs to change I'll do it. I ran Mark Green as a WR RB1 for his entire career, so I'm as guilty as anyone if we do change it. The logic loophole justification I always used is that in my offense my RB is my most targeted receiver, but I understand if that's considered flimsy.

EDIT: I went ahead and changed Addai back to RB. RBs are RBs.

This coincides with a certain person joining this league. If you remember, I brought up the issue of players playing out of position at that point in time & it was brushed aside as a non-issue.
Now you know why I brought it up. This person has never played by a "gentleman's agreement". I knew it wouldn't start in this league. Hopefully, you guys can come up with something.

My apologies. I didn't bring it up. I brought up that I wasn't aware of the punt block rule not being followed.
We might as well address underweight players playing out of position.

I will put a formal rule in place soon. It will take effect next season. My thoughts are that a player in the top 3 depth spots needs to meet the normal weight for that position, ie anyone in RB 1/2/3 needs to weigh 217 or DE 1/2/3 needs to weigh 276.

These are a very rough start to the rules.

If you need a rule to tell you not to start a CB at RB, or any of this other junk, you're not the type of player I want to be in a league with. Period.

I don't want to drop this league, but more than that I don't want to be in a league with players like this.

Hate to be devil's advocate buuuuuuuuut:
Will also mean peoples overrides will have to be watched as well. I can easily make 3RBs go 1-2-3 in the depth chart and put a WR there for my 2-1-2 plays in the formation overrides.

Exactly, this is why I don't like to implement rules. I would rather trust that people will play the game there right way. I know that's naive.

i have to wonder, to what end drives a person too exploit gray areas to the very edge and beyond to "win" at a sim game. Is their some award you get that Im not aware of? Like as far as Ive seen, people who do this certainly get there names and logo emblozzened in the Hall of Champions. But certainly among their peers, there is very little respect, as it is known that the only reason you got your name in their because you were the best "exploiter". Seems pretty empty to me. Id much rather win wirh the respect and congratulations from my fellow competitors for having won in a spirited manner. Much more enjoyable scenario, me thinks. Maybe Im nuts.
