Week 1
USC Trojans 48 @ Arizona Wildcats 10

USC gets off to a great start to 2024 season by knocking off 4 Time Pac-12 South Champions Arizona 48-10. Led by the strong arm of Marland Plank the Trojan offense is showing the balance that AD Bryson10 envisioned. "We wanted to bring explosive plays and balance to the West Coast, Bryson said. We've got some work to become consistent but i think this was a great start."

The ground game churned out yards on the back of top recruit Stephen Carr and his 102 yards. While he didn't excite the crowd with big runs he was slowly chipping away at the Wildcat defense. Perhaps the biggest surprise of the game was the Trojan defense and the way they stepped up in their first test of the year. Limiting the 'Zona run game to just 30 yards they forced the opposition into passing it exclusively. The one mistake was critical as Paul Carroll took a short slant and outran the db for 73 yards for the only Wildcat TD of the game.

"I think there is potential on this defense, said coach Marcos Roberts. We just need to keep the ball in front of us and not get exposed on the back end."

USC travels to South Carolina next week to face the 0-1 Clemson Tigers. The second of four road games in the first 5 weeks, USC is going to really see what they're made of before the mid season break.

Week 2
USC Trojans 44 @ Clemson Tigers 24

USC showed some signs of inconsistency in this road tilt with ACC foe Clemson. The defense gave up some big plays that has been a concern of the staff's since the spring. The ground game was able to score multiple touchdowns but looked lethargic and relatively nonproductive. The vaunted pass attack led by Mary Plank put up over 600 yards but the rhythm was lacking. Freshman Reid Axtell and red shirt senior transfer Marcus Briggs continue to impress and have added more dynamism to an offense that had underperformed in years past. With the win USC stays at the top of the Pac-12 South and hopes to be in the race to earn their first division title in history. Up next the Trojans get their first home game of the year as the welcome another ACC power Florida St.

Week 3
Florida St. 14 @ USC Trojans 62

Home opener for the Trojans and 1-1 Florida St. made the long trip across the country. The Trojans jumped out early led by the budding star Mary Plank and took it to the Seminoles in every facet of the game. The defense, now ranked third in the nation, put the clamps on a very potent offense. The new Trojan offense "B10 Fury" as it's been dubbed by the staff, ranks tops amongst all college teams and is a drastic improvement from years past. The trio of freshman, RB Stephen Carr, WR Reid Axtell and LB John Houston Jr. are performing like seasoned vets so far and each are becoming key components to the team's success. Next up the Trojans head back on the road for a divisional matchup with Utah. The Utes are off to a terrible start looking to grab their first win of the season coming off a divisional title in 2023.

Week 4
USC Trojans 24 @ Utah 10

USC went on the road to face a divisional foe in Utah and faced adversity for the first time in the young season. Battling back from a slow start to grind out a win in front of a hostile crowd proved that USC may be a little ahead of schedule with it's bowl aspirations. QB Mary Plank had an off game missing on many open throws and the offense just couldn't get into rhythm for most of the game. The defense faced a run heavy attack and were able to lock down the Ute's offense for most of the game. Despite giving up another big play TD the Trojan defense was stingy and improved their league ranking to #2 in the nation in yards allowed. After the game the BCS released it's first rankings of the 2024 season and the 4-0 Trojans vaulted to it's first ever #1 ranking in league history. "It's monumental accomplishment in our school's history, said coach Marcos Roberts. But we've got a gauntlet of tough road games on the horizon that mean a lot more than what a poll says we are.

Next up USC travels to the Big House to take on 3-1 Michigan in what should be the toughest test of the young season.

Week 5

#1 USC Trojans 23 @ #15 Michigan Wolverines 3

Another tough defensive battle for the #1 team in the land. "It's never easy going to the Big House so to come away with victory is something special", said head coach Marcos Roberts.

The Trojan defense put the clamps down for the second week in rown limiting the Wolverines to a lone 56 yard fieldgoal in the second quarter. "We knew they would want to pass on us and we worked on our zone and man coverage extensively during the week, said defensive coordinator Dustin Palmer. Our recognition and spacial awareness was as good as it's been since i've been here."

On the offensive side of the ball the USC staff is concerned that the team isn't playing with the same urgency and passion as they did early on and overall has looked lethargic and confused at times. The emergence of a run game has yet to take shape and until it does look for the Trojans to really lean on their top ranked defense. Next up is a rare home game as division rival Arizona comes to town to participate in USC's first homecoming game under the new regime. USC has a real opportunity to distance themselves atop the Pac-12 South with a second win over the second place Wildcats.

Week 6
#1 USC Trojans 42 @ Arizona Wildcats 13

In a rematch of the season opener USC used homecoming week to duplicate the beat down that they handed out in week one. Led by Mary Plank and the "B10 Fury" offense the Trojans once again made easy work of the Wildcat secondary. On defense the league's top ranked unit held the Arizona offense to just one touchdown similarly to the previous game between these two teams. WIth the win the #1 team in the nation continues their best start in school history and braces for a couple more home games before really hitting the peak of their schedule's difficult stretch. The team is still trying to get their running game going and inserting RB Ronald Jones II into the backup RB position resulted in two TD's but coaches are still looking for more overall production.

Week 7
Miami Hurricanes 30 @ #1 USC Trojans 63

The Trojans took care of business in week 7 despite a fiesty Miami team giving them all they could handle. WR Lon Gordon was nearly unstoppable and the vaunted Trojan defense looked vulnerable. Offensively USC's "B10 Fury" got back to what they are best at and that's attacking from the ground and through the air. Freshman RB Stephen Carr had a solid game rushing for 131 yards and a TD. The air attack was led by budding superstar Mary Plank and top WR Chester Castle. Castle, relatively unnoticed most of the year, had his best game of the season. USC concludes it's three game home stand as the University of Washington makes the short flight to LA this week.
