I'm not sure but it probably wouldn't be too hard to make a college version of this game where players only had 4 years of eligibility. That would be pretty cool!

Only allow players aged 9-12. 9 would be freshmen as rookies will start very low in their stats. If players retire early, it would be the equivalent of them declaring early for the draft. If a player reaches 13, they are simply removed.
With that said, the draft pool would probably be too small to accommodate full rosters for all teams. Honestly, unless the engine was changed, I think it would be too much work to implement manually.
