What about fifth year graduate transfers and what about red shirting a player? You could submit a list of red shirts that can practice but not play.

It seems as though there could be a whole new game developed out of this, but it would take a lot of code rewrite, I would imagine the basic parts could be used but the extras and bells and whistles would have to be different.

if it passes it will lessen the talent level of the league by a huge margin since most of the stars start to hit their prime in years 4-7. I think it's a bad idea to have to make people cut their players but I'm only the administer, lol. It's a dead heat right now so we'll see how it goes :)

I agree with Bryson. Cutting the talent will be counterproductive I think.

I agree with you, Bryson. It's going to be hard to do this without JB's help somehow. If we cut guys after 4 weeks, there won't be enough players period. We only get 7 players per draft, which means after 4 years we'll only have 28 maximum... and half of those will ****.... Heh! If there is any way to alter the draft, (like making it 15 rounds) I don't see cutting 4th year guys a feasibility...

If we go that route, might as well not even have FA. I don't see how that would work, since the pool would be filled with guys who technically "graduated" after a season or so.

I think the best thing to do is to leave the 4 year limit alone for the 1st season and try to get JDB's input as to what can be done to make it work. I like the idea, I just think it will be a nightmare in the present format.
The no trade option is different...that would be easy to adopt.

i agree it would be super complicated. The no trading thing would definitely make the draft the most important aspect of the year :)
