Week 2 Transfers

Running Back John Rupp last played at Oklahoma, Tight End Anthony Gallagher Oklahoma, Quarterback Bobby Jackson USC and Tight End Coach Michael Martin.

Have the Bruins found the heir apparent for Quarterback Robert Beall? Bobby Jackson has a season to learn from Robert before he graduates.

John Rupp is hoping that he can get some carries and prove he can be a running back in the NCAA.

Tight End Anthony Gallagher is hoping that a transition to Center would get him to the next level.

UCLA football National Signing Day 1

Defensive Player Daniel Lloyd

Daniel's Position on the defensive side of ball is undetermined right now, at his small high school in Indiana he played everywhere on defensive, but his size says he has the ideal build for an edge rusher. He's 6-foot-5 and has exceptionally long arms. He uses his length to keep opponents off of his chest and has an array of moves to create pressures/sacks. Daniel flashes an explosive get off and can bend the loop at the top of his rush. His effort is solid -- he plays snap to whistle.

As a run defender, he uses his length to stack and hold the point of attack. He has the speed/effort to make plays from the backside. His production on the field has been outstanding, in the classroom not so much.

National Signing Day #2

In a surprise signing your Bruins signed Offensive Athlete James Molina. James took the path less travelled to being a top prospect: James had to try out for his team on 3 separate occasions earned a spot on the team. A multi-sport athlete as a child: track, ice skating, skiing and basketball. James recorded back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons: 92-1,293-11 and 72-1,111-7. During his career, scored 22 touchdowns and totalled 2,988 yards. Last two seasons, accumulated an incredible percentage of team’s passing yards: 33.9% (2016) & 30.2%. In his team championship game, James produced five catches for 96 yards and a touchdown. Physical skill set and trustworthy ball skills at 6-foot-2 and 255 pounds. Body control and footwork of a much smaller player. Exceptional pass catcher with huge hands and large-catch radius. Employed as traditional TE, in the slot and offset position. Athletic “move” tight end: Very dangerous weapon. After the catch heads upfield and gains yards. Coaches rave about his football IQ. Willing blocker who will earn playing time as a freshman. A raw prospect but well worthy of a top signing.

After a tough 1 and 15 season the Bruins look to future. Changes will be made but those changes will not be announced until later was the bowl season is over.

For now lets announce this years graduating class and wish them luck in the future endeavors.

Former Heisman Trophy Winner QB Robert Beal. Talks are spreading that he might be declaring himself eligible for the NFL draft.

Tight End John Jahn a treamdous athlete who put his heart and soul into every game. News out John's camp is may consider one last hurrah before moving on to the NFL. But the bright lights of NFL are calling.

Tackle Michael Titus A solid pass blocker who had several injuries this past season which prevented him to contribute more. Michael wants to return to the college game and finish off to get his degree.

Guard Aaron Mahaffey a do it all offensive lineman but better suited at the guard position. Aaron was tremendous assist to the offensive line during time with the Bruins. He is ready to be a star at the Next Level.

Defensive Tackle Joseph Tallent a career back up who contributed when his number was called. Considering trying his hand on the NFL level, but is ready to begin his next phase of life and get into coaching.

Their are rumors circulating that WR John Harper has asked to be allowed to transfer to a contender but at this time those rumors have not been verified.

Speaking with Athletic Director of Football Operations otterpop he expressed disappointment on how the season went and confessed that he felt going into the season that certain position lacked the depth needed to win in this league, but he held out hope that players would step up and play beyond their talent to continue the winning the tradition that UCLA Expects. "This team maybe in a rebuild mode but do not get me wrong we will continue to strive forward and turn this team into a National Championship Team."

Before leaving I asked Otterpop about the coaching staff, his only comment he would make is that the Bowl Season has just started we are not going to address any of that until after the Bowl Season is over.

Rumors are circulating that Athletic Director of the Bruins is considering overhauling their complete coaching staff. Many coaches have been seen in posh Beverly Hills where Athletic Director has been staying while conducting interviews.

To all Athletic Director out there I am sorry if I take one of your coaches.

The good news they may not want to come Sunny California.

Another close game for the Bruins today.

We will learn to win these games. I hope soon.

Quarterback play of Bobby Jackson continues to story of the Bruins.

Freshman DE Rod Gilmore was quiet this game but with additional focus on him allow the linebacker core to make more plays in space.

Next up for the Bruins are Tigers of LSU

After last night victory.

The Bruins coaching staff was in early watching film and observing walk-ons for a possible replacement kicker.

When asked about Dean Green Status with the team. Dean is still a part of this team we are just reviewing our options at this time.
