#3 Notre Dame-44, #17 Texas-9

Finally the Irish offense woke up and looked explosive. The running game was abandoned as the Notre Dame passing game decided to attack the blitz with it's own blitz attack. QB Brandon Wimbush piled up yards and TD's in what turned out to be a romp in South Bend. The tough Irish defense only allowed 3 fgs on the day and showed fundamental tackling throughout the contest. Next up the Irish take a tough road trip to Norman to face Oklahoma.

QB Brandon Wimbush (24/35 68.6%, 545 Yards, 6 TD. 2 Int, 127.08 Rating)

DE Dalton Hayes (4 Tckl, 3 Sacks, 5 Hurries)

2-21-TEX 33 (12:21) 7-Brandon Wimbush pass complete to 83-Chase Claypool for 33 yards. TOUCHDOWN

The Irish were able to take the momentum the built at home against Texas on the road to Norman. The defense showcased their budding potential holding the Sooners to 0 rushing yards and only 182 passing yards. The offense wasn't spectacular but were able to move the ball enough that the score wasn't a factor. Two safeties, 8 sacks and 5 interceptions later, the Irish got out of town with the W. If the Irish are going to beat Oklahoma St. next week they will have to keep improving on offense and cut down on the turnovers.

WR Quincy Brown (7 rec, 157 yards, 1 TD)

DE Dalton Hayes (5 Tckl, 5 Sacks, 5 Hurries)

2-10- OU 4 (5:43) 10-Austin Kendall sacked at OU -2 for -6 yards (42-Julian Okwuona). SAFETY! (42-Julian Okwuona)
(5:39) 43-Austin Seibert kicks 75 yards from OU 20 to ND 5. 2-Dexter Williams for 96yards. TOUCHDOWN!

VS

#2 Notre Dame-41, #4 Oklahoma-10

In a showdown of two top four teams the Irish used the home crowd to put on a show. The offense was dominant piling up the points lead by the arm of QB Brandon Wimbush. Dual threat RB Dexter Williams was the recipient of four of the five TD passes and helped pace the offensive explosion. The defense was in complete control only allowing 3 points until the Cowboys connected on a TD pass with 52 seconds left in the game. The Irish travel to Los Angeles next week in a rematch of last year's Rose Bowl.

RB Dexter Williams (16 Rush, 67 Yards, 6 rec, 157 yards, 4 TD)

CB Nick Watkins (4 Tckl, 9 ThrownAt, 1 KnockDown, 33.3, CatchAll%, 1 Int)

3-8-ND 37 (5:47) 7-Brandon Wimbush pass complete to 16-Quincy Brown for 63 yards. TOUCHDOWN!

#2 Notre Dame-85, UCLA-14

UCLA has unfortunately fell on some tough times this season and this game was very reflective of their season. The Irish offense went up and down the field with ease. Rarely did the Bruin defense even pose a chance. With that said, Beall and the offense did look good at times in this game against the vaunted Irish defense. Wimbush was incredible in this one as was his receivers. DE Dalton Hayes was impossible to slow down as he wracked up 6 sacks despite playing with an injury. The Irish are poised to possibly take over the top spot in the rankings if they can go on the road and defeat Utah in week 11.

QB Brandon Wimbush (24/35 77.1%, 635 Yards, 8 TD. 2 Int, 134.23 Rating)

DE Dalton Hayes (8 Tckl, 6 Sacks, 6 Hurries)

3-16-ND 19 (6:13) 7-Brandon Wimbush pass complete to 16-Quincy Brown for 81 yards. TOUCHDOWN!

#2 Notre Dame-35, #25 Utah-3

Notre Dame has been riding high lately having success both at home and on the road but the offensive woes that have derailed their team in the past showed that they still have room to improve on the road. Facing a Utah team with nothing to lose the Irish's hot QB Brandon Wimbush was awful tossing 4 interceptions and erasing all the good will he had acrued in the past weeks. Luckily the running game was up to par and allowed the Irish to grind out a dominating performance. The defense was punishing only allowing the Utes to a measley 116 total yards! They also forced 5 turnovers and sacked Utah QB Douglas Seward 4 times. Next up the Irish have one of their greatest tests traveling to Annapolis Maryland to face the offensive power Navy. This rivalry should be another tough road match up for an Irish team with championship aspirations.

RB Dexter Williams (25 Rush, 139 Yards, 2 TD)

CB Shaun Crawford (3 tckl, 6 ThrnAt, 3 KnkDn, 33.3% Alld %, 1 Int)

3-1-UTA 20 (6:13) 2-Dexter Williams ran for 20 yards. TOUCHDOWN!

Offense was horrendous in this game repeatedly running into a brick wall. The blitz defense really fed off the home crowd and despite 333 yards passing Notre Dame couldn't make their drives count. The defense was fine holding the prolific offense of Navy for much of the game. This rivalry game is always tough for the road team and the Irish will have a little something something for the rematch in a few weeks :)

VS

#1 Notre Dame-42, Marshall-3

The Irish bounced back as they welcomed Marshall to South Bend. Never easy playing against a division opponent but the Irish are like a completely different team at home and they proved once again how dominant they can be. The offense was solid and the nation's top defense was stellar.

QB Brandon Wimbush (20/34 58.8%, 317 Yards, 2 TD. 0 Int, 109.56 Rating)

DT Eugene Redus (3 Tckl, 3 Sacks, 11 Hurries)

#1 Notre Dame-50, #14 Navy-21

It was a completely different game than the one these two teams played two weeks ago. Teams have decided they want to blitz the heck out of the Irish all season and this is the type of game the team is building to combat the blitz. 638 yards passing and 7 TD's later the Irish take back control of the division with just two weeks to play. Not only has the offense upped the pace but they have seen a difference in their offensive line and the resurgence in the passing game has excelled. Next up is the last regular season road test at Marshall. A year ago the Irish were abysmal in this away game but the staff are laser focused for the rematch.

QB Brandon Wimbush (26/36 72.2%, 638 Yards, 7 TD. 0 Int, 153.94 Rating)

DT Eugene Redus (2 Tckl, 2 Sacks, 1 Hurries)

The Irish grinded out a tough road game against a team playing for it's bowl lives. Jumping out to a 18-0 the Irish got complacent giving up 20 unanswered. After a good talking to on the sidelines Notre Dame took back control and quieted the Thundering Herd faithful. It was a key win for Notre Dame as they look to lock up a first round bye in the Bowl playoffs. With out of conference rival USC next on the docket South Bend will be rocking for the last game of the regular season.

TE Brock Wright (4 Rec, 75 Yards Yards, 1 TD)

DE Dalton Hayes (4 Tckl, 3 Sacks, 4 Hurries)

VS

#1 Notre Dame-30, #9 Arizona-13

In a rematch of last year's Rose Bowl the Irish welcomed a tough Arizona team to South Bend for the second time this season. This game was not as close as the first contest due to the Irish's stingy defense. Blanket coverage all day held down Dimond and the Wildcat passing attack. Only surrendering 6 points Arizona finally hit paydirt with less than a minute to go in the game. On offense Notre Dame was able to move the ball at times in the game but were exposed at times as well. The aggressive Wildcat defense was able to get to Wimbush 7 times and forced a fumble and an interception. It was the 18th win in 18 contests for Notre Dame in the friendly confines of South Bend. With rival Army coming up big on the road in Michigan, Notre Dame will now host the Rose Bowl and meet the hot Black Knights for the third time this season. Two teams that can't stand each other playing for a chance to make the National Championship, you can't write a script any better!

QB Brandon Wimbush (17/26 65.4%, 274 Yards, 3 TD. 1 Int, 122.92 Rating)

CB Nick Watkins (5 Tckl, 7 ThrownAt, 0 KnockDown, 42.9 Catch%, 1 Int)
